How not to approach a Reviewer!

“I know people who would ruin your life” ….my typing froze for a moment! “I cannot believe you just said that; I will just forget it!”; I replied to an online conversation I had with a vendor last night! He approached me to change my review and I refused. I acted stupid he said, because I could have made money promoting his strong sales copy.

Emotional relevance versus selling the dream

Affiliate Marketing is what you make. You have a choice in the same way you would have a choice in any other avenue in your life. Being genuine and compassionate to your market’s needs is not just an obligation; a blessing too. Your market will thank you for it.

Vendors Who Don’t Deliver

Not all vendors deliver to all of their products; sad but true! When inconsistencies are apparent between sales pages and actual product this will result in an emotional conflict. The relevance is broken and the consumer feels cheated, betrayed and disheartened. This is a result of two conflicting emotional relevancies as Vendors & Consumers have completely different needs to fulfil.

There is a choice to which a Vendor can follow and respect consumers’ “emotional relevance” and not just sell something for the sake of selling it. If a product does not conform this respect then I have plenty reasons to highlight consequencies for the consumer and at the same time giving the Vendor plenty of room for improvement! This is actually free work that could easily be charged as a business evaluation. However, to be threatened is trully not the way to be aproached by to say the least!

Working together with consumers, reviewers and online forums can only help you as a Vendor to gather all the necessary information you need to excel in developing a great end product. Every single niche has Individuals who are eager to receive a solution relevant to their queries and they buy to your product for a reason or two; just make it happen. I am only an observer and I will express things as I personally feel them.

Are Your WordPress Images Not Showing?

ATTENTION: This was NOT a typical bank holiday Monday were I could relax with friends and enjoy the good weather!

Oh No; It was more like spending the whole day trying to understand the missing piece of my WordPress Puzzle!

It all started when couple of days ago I moved Kazooli.com from its single hosting account to a multiple domain hosting account as a second level domain.

I backed up, restored the files and changed the wp-config.php accordingly so that WordPress connects to my restored database.

That is the standard procedure of moving WordPress between hosting accounts so what could have I possibly done wrong?

The Problem – Why Are My WordPress Images Not Uploading?

a) Every time I uploaded an image, from within the Wordpress admin area, the image didn’t  show neither as an attachment to a post nor through its URL link! The URL link of the image was exactly structured as it should i.e wp-content/uploads etc, but no image file would be on that folder if you were to look at it from within the hosting admin area unless I put the file manually using an ftp client!

b) When I uploaded the picture file manually using an ftp client the  picture would show only when I would visit its URL but still not as an attachment to a post.

The Solution – Why Are My WordPress Images Not Showing?

It Can Only Mean One Thing  a + b = c

Have you moved your WordPress to a multiple hosting account as a second level domain? Do you experience image issues after your restore installation and database configuration (wp-config.php) ?

Follow the simple steps bellow to correct the issue:

Step 1: Log in to your WordPress admin area

Step 2: Go to Settings

Step 3: Select Miscellaneous Select Media

Step 4: Uploading Files

Step 5: Store uploads in this folder

Step 6: Make sure that it’s set to default Type: (wp-content/uploads)

Truth is that when WordPress is restored and moved to a second level domain, the database naturally tries to connect to the subfolder of your primary domain. Thus it is a database issue and not a hosting issue. This tiny problem took me just a little over 6 hours to figure out. I hope to have saved you time and looking forward to your comments.

A lot of MLM companies make a lot of bold claims about their products and some of them cross serious lines that need reporting. Observing such behaviours is indeed necessary as it will be a good reason for you to avoid doing business with anyone who’s claiming to have found the next cure to cancer or obesity!

Hey; take a step back and study your offers. Honestly your sponsors can wait with a smile if they are genuine enough for your success. When you study your offers make sure that you feel relaxed and make this step the most enjoyable one. If for any reason you may feel pressure from your sponsors; be alarmed as they may be Network Marketing Liars who care less of your success! The truth is that with most compensation plans, achieving any level of success is difficult as most people are not able to successfully advertise their business. In fact new marketers are thrown into the deep end without even knowing a way of moving forward.

The Dark Side of Faking It!

Will they ever put people in your downline? A lot of people have been given the promises and claims that they will be successful just because of the help that they will receive from their sponsors and up-line. Nothing is mentioned in their compensation plan though! It should be under loyalty bonuses or perhaps not! Were you told by your sponsors that they will place people in your down-line? I am truly sorry to break the news but you may already know by now. If it is not in your compensation plan then do not expect from them to do so in the near future or ever. They just wish they could but they probably have the same problem as you do and they may desperately tell you of things they may not be able to keep up with just so that you join them. These are Network Marketing Liars and they give a bad name to the industry!

Study your compensation plan. Contact your sponsors and have them explain things you may need clarifying. Stay on your topic rather than drifting away on how your day has been. Leave the chit chat for later! Make it a business time! It is good to make friendships but even better when these friendships are the result of your business success. Success is designed; not a coincidence so focus on it with an enjoyable stress free manner.

Online Scams on twitter – Fraudulent tweets Need Reporting!

Fellow Internet Marketers & Blessed Twitter Users Please Take Action!

I constantly receive Direct Messages by people who are very keen to help me “make money online” and suggest that I should join their online business opportunity.

I just do not understand how these people think that this is a quality intorduction to their offers when their first contact is limited by 140 characters with an affiliate link that is thrown in following their very unconvincing short introduction!

At times feels as if I open “The Online Door to Spamville” every time I follow someone on twitter. Up to this moment I have mostly seen “the secret of the british mom who discovered how to turn yellow teeth white” and “See how I make a 6 figure income a year in less than 3 hours a week”.

Fellow twitter users please protect your networks and BLOCK such accounts who broadcast questionable links or spam you with DM’s or @. And here is the reason why you should!

These types of tweets lead to fraudulent websites. The so called “secret of white teeth” is actually a card phising scam and people who endorse products as such need to undestand that they SHOULD KNOW what is that they are promoting in the first place and keep their online followers safe. SO BLOCK THEM & Keep twitter Clean!

Important Changes To Amazon Associates Programme

On Thursday 14th of January, I received an email from Amazon with regards to some important changes that they have put in place related to their UK Associates’ Programme. The email clearly states that from now on Amazon will not be paying for referrals that are generated through paid advertising nor they will credit commissions that are coming from search engines directly to their website through an affiliate link. To avoid loosing your Amazon Affiliate commissions please make sure that you read the following email and to update your account:

Dear Associate,

We’re writing to let you know about some changes to the Amazon.co.uk Associates Programme.

After careful review of our Associates programme, we have made the decision that as of February 1, 2010, we will no longer pay referral fees to Associates who send users to www.amazon.co.uk, http://astore.amazon.co.uk or www.javari.co.uk through keyword bidding or other paid search on Google, Bing, Yahoo!, or any other search engine, or their extended search networks.


In connection with this change, as of February 1, 2010, we will no longer provide Associates who engage in such paid search activities with access to our Product Advertising API or datafeeds. If you are currently enrolled in the Associates Programme as a Paid Search Placement Associate and wish to continue to participate in the Programme after February 1, 2010, you must choose a new category that most accurately describes the method you will use to send users to the Amazon.co.uk or Javari.co.uk site.

These changes do not prohibit you from purchasing paid search advertisements or submitting links to search engines so long as the links that appear on the search engines send customers to your site. If customers arrive at the Amazon.co.uk or Javari.co.uk site by clicking on Special Links displayed on your site (ie, links on your site pointing to Amazon.co.uk or Javari.co.uk with Amazon Associates tags), you will continue to earn referral fees in accordance with the Associates Programme Operating Agreement. There are a number of tools available through Associates Central to assist you with integrating Special Links into your sites, such as aStore by Amazon, various customisable widgets, and the Product Advertising API.


These changes apply only to the Associates Programme in the UK. If you are conducting paid or free search activities in connection with one of Amazon’s Associates Programmes outside of the UK, please refer to the applicable country’s Associates Programme Operating Agreement for relevant terms and conditions.
